With Clinton jail jab, Trump reminded GOP why he won


If Sunday night's presidential debate made one thing clear, it's that the Republican Party, after days of intense hand-wringing, is stuck with Donald Trump. Over the weekend, reports surfaced with that Republican National Committee leadership told their staff to do whatever they felt comfortable doing after a turbulent week for the Trump campaign that saw longtime elected Republicans flee their nominee. The RNC's communication director later said that report was false, but it pointed to an increasingly urgent need to project a somewhat untied party after a terrible weekend for Trump.
