Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak is expected to be release from a Denver-area hospital on Monday after experiencing flu-like symptoms following Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, a team official told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Broncos are reportedly "encouraged" by Kubiak's medical tests.
He was taken to hospital via ambulance, and remained there overnight for precautionary reasons.
In 2013, while in charge of the Houston Texans, Kubiak suffered a transient ischemic attack - a mini-stroke - on the sideline of a game.
If Kubiak is unable to coach Denver's Thursday night game against the San Diego Chargers, it's likely defensive coordinator Wade Phillips - who has head coaching experience - will take over his duties.
