Donaldson's slide reminiscent of Hosmer's from '15 WS

The Score - MLB Baseball

Josh Donaldson's mad dash to the plate Sunday against the Texas Rangers will go down as one of the most exciting moments of the Toronto Blue Jays postseason.

The spectacular hustle play by the 2015 American League MVP was oddly reminiscent of a play that rocked the foundation of last year's World Series, thanks to Kansas City Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer.

With the Royals down by a run in Game 5 in what would be the eventual World Series clincher, Hosmer would hustle home after a Salvador Perez ground ball, scoring the game-tying run with a head-first slide almost identical to Donaldson's.

Although the importance of each slide may differ, the moment itself held similar excitement as both moments will presumably be remembered forever as two of the game's best hustle plays in modern day baseball.
