Samsung ‘stops production’ of Galaxy Note 7 after replaced phones explode

Samsung has stopped production of its flagship Galaxy Note 7 device – after reports that even replacement devices were catching fire.

It’s a new low in the biggest recall crisis in Samsung’s history.

Top phone networks in America have also suspended sales or exchanges of Note 7s, while major airlines have banned passengers using the phones.

Smoke from a replacement device forced the evacuation of a passenger plane in the United States last week.
