A retired British journalist who lives in the resort island of Bali have been arrested on suspicion of possessing 10 grams of hash – an offence that could mean life in prison.

The 54-year-old Briton – named in local media as David Matthew – was arrested after the arrest of a 48-year-old Australian in Sanur, on suspicion of possessing 7.32 grams of hash.
