Clinton: Trump outdid himself with falsehoods during debate
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said after the debate Donald Trump surpassed his usual amount of falsehoods during the 90-minute showdown.
Speaking from her campaign plane, Clinton was asked if she was surprised by the tone of the debate.
"Nothing surprises me about it, really. ... I was really surprised by the absolute avalanche of falsehoods," Clinton told reporters. "I mean I really really find it almost unimaginable that someone can stand and just tell a falsehood after a falsehood. You all remember Politifact said that he was the most untruthful candidate they'd ever evaluated. We sort of did the numbers. I think they said he was 70 percent untruthful. And so I think he exceeded that tonight."
In response to another question, Clinton said, "I pretty much saw what I expected to see and that's why the first thing I said was something I've been (saying) since June, that he's not fit to be commander in chief."
"I've said it before and increasingly more adding that to the chorus," Clinton said.
