Cody Kessler day-to-day with ‘painful’ chest injury

The Cleveland Browns’ quarterbacks continue to get banged up, with third-string QB Cody Kessler the latest to suffer an injury. Kessler hurt his ribs on a hit during the Browns’ loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, which led the team to bring in the recently signed backup Charlie Whitehurst. Kessler was looking pretty good and threw a touchdown pass before suffering his injury late in the first quarter, so losing him would spell even worse news for Cleveland.
