Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton Miraculously End Debate on a Positive Note: ‘She’s a Fighter’
The candidates were forced to acknowledge each other’s admirable qualities in the debate’s final question from a member of the audience: “Name one positive thing you respect in one another.”

Trump, who asserted earlier in the night that Clinton had a “lot of hate in her heart” and is “the devil,” first thanked her for the “compliment” about his children (Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany and Barron) before offering his own commendation.
“She doesn’t quit, she doesn’t give up; I respect that,” he told the gathered audience, which included undecided voters. “I tell it like it is. She’s a fighter. I disagree with much of what she’s fighting for. I do disagree with her judgment in many cases. But she does fight hard, and she doesn’t quit. She doesn’t give up. I consider that to be a very good trait.”

Both nominees shook hands at the evening’s close — a stark contrast to the debate’s opening moments, when Clinton avoided pleasantries.
