Trump disagrees with Pence on Syria
Donald Trump said at the second debate that he disagrees with his own running mate Mike Pence on the issue of Syria.
"I want to remind you what your running mate said," Martha Raddatz, one of the moderators, said in the second presidential debate. "He said provocations by Russia need to be met with American strength and that if Russia continues to be involved in airstrikes along with the Syrian forces, the United States of America should be prepared to use military force to strike the military targets of the Assad regime."
"He and I haven't spoken and I disagree," Trump said, and swiftly moved on.
Pence appeared to be distancing himself from his running mate since the revelation Friday of Trump's taped bragging about sexual assault. Pence canceled a planned appearance Saturday with Trump in Wisconsin.
