Airstream’s Tiny New Luxury Trailer Is Perfect for Weekend Adventures
When it comes to glamping, nobody does luxury campers quite like Airstream. Its silver trailers are easy on the eyes and enable a high class living while out on the road. But unless you drive a huge SUV, chances your car isn’t capable of towing one of the heavy beast – until now.
Airstream’s much smaller new BaseCamp trailer combines the brand’s classic aluminum look with ultra-flexible interior accommodations to let owners do more with less. At $34,900, the BaseCamp’s price is also a lot smaller than the whopping six-figure older brothers like the $115,000, 28-foot Pendleton.
Weighing in at just over 2,500 lbs with a maximum weight 3,500 when loaded with supplies, the camper can be towed using regular cars rather than massive trucks. Inside you’ll find the usual amenities, including a bed, stove, fridge, and toilet. You can also deck it out with optional extras like a Bose Soundlink Color wireless Bluetooth speaker to stream your tunes loud and proud in the open plains.
As Airstream says, it’s “tough enough to go anywhere your wanderlust takes you, and comfortable enough to help you really enjoy the time you spend there.” Watch the promo video above and head over the company’s website for more details.
