Google Allo Reportedly Coming To India On September 21st

Android Headlines

Google had started sending out invitations for their October 4th event quite recently, and the company plans to introduce new Pixel (aka Nexus) smartphones at that event. Google will probably talk more about Google Assistant at the event as well, and chances are we’ll get plenty more additional info regarding Android 7.1 Nougat and the Pixel launcher Now, chances are we’ll see Google Allo launched before that event, if the latest rumors are accurate, the company’s all-new messaging app with Google Assistant integration might land on September 21st. This info was released by @evleaks quite recently, and now we’re getting some more info from India, read on.

According to the source, Google Allo will launch in India on September 21st. The source, GadgetsNow, claims that Google shared this info with them, and if true, that more or less confirms that the company’s messaging app is coming on September 21st, not only to India, but pretty much everywhere else. This doesn’t mean that it will be available all over the world instantly, but Google plans to start rolling it out on said date, it might take a while until you’re able to officially download it, but the .apk file will be available more or less as soon as Google starts rolling out this app, so… you can always sideload it.

The Google Allo app was first mentioned during Google I/O back in May when Google more or less introduced this app alongside Google Duo, the company’s video calling application. The Google Duo app has been available on the Google Play Store for a while now, and it has been downloaded over 10 million times within one month. Google is hoping that these two apps are going to become your main messaging and video calling apps, and the Hangouts service / app is going to make a transition to the enterprise sector.

We’ve seen several reports thus far claiming that the Google Allo app will be released on September 21st, which gives it some credibility. We’ll, of course, have to wait and see what happens on September 21st, but chances are we’ll get to use Google Allo really soon, if not on September 21st, then October 4th for sure. In any case, stay tuned.
