Too little, too late for Rubio on Super Tuesday
Tuesday was a bad night for Sen. Marco Rubio.
The Florida Senator, who for weeks has been trying to build the narrative that he is the GOP’s best hope to defeat Donald Trump, was beaten soundly in almost every state on the Super Tuesday map — except for Minnesota.
The North Star State was the first win for Rubio who, on Tuesday, lost contests not only to Trump but also to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz — who notched two victories in Oklahoma and Texas
In a speech in Miami, Rubio acknowledged the challenges ahead for his campaign
"Florida, I know you’re ready," Rubio said. "The pundits say we’re underdogs. I’ll accept that. We’ve all been underdogs. This is a community of underdogs. This is a state of underdogs. This is a country of underdogs. But we will win."
