RUBIO: 'Our number's going up'

Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said Tuesday that he was fighting to expose rival Donald Trump as a con artist and was gaining support as he did so.

"Five days ago we began to explain to the American people that Donald Trump is a con artist," Rubio told a crowd in Miami. "And in just five days we have seen the impact that it's having all across the country. We are seeing in state after state, his number's coming down, our number's going up."

Rubio, speaking as results from the Super Tuesday contests rolled in, vowed to win in his home state of Florida.

"Two weeks from tonight, right here in Florida, we are going to send the message loud and clear that the party of Lincoln and Reagan and the presidency of the United States will never be held by a con artist," Rubio said.

At the time of Rubio's speech, he had not been projected to win any of the Super Tuesday states. Trump was projected to win Alabama, Virginia, Tennessee and Massachusetts.
