Pope Francis is unafraid of the breast

He said as much on Sunday when he invited nursing mothers to freely feed their hungry children during a baptismal ceremony at the Sistine Chapel

Where others might see scandal, Francis saw the natural order of things

"You mothers give your children milk and even now, if they cry because they are hungry, breastfeed them, don't worry," he said, according to Reuters

American news outlets found something noteworthy in this scene, particularly that Francis’ written text said “give them milk,” but he used the Italian term for breastfeeding, “allattateli.”
