Enjoy Your Favorite Soup With These Easy To Make ‘Hungry Hippo’ Bread Rolls

Sandra Denneler of handicraft site Handmade Charlotte has created a simple recipe, which would teach us how to make adorable hippopotamus bread rolls to go with our next bowl of soup.

To make these hungry hippos, thaw a box of bread roll doughs, roll one ball into an elongated oval for its body, and another for its head, pinching the top sides of the head to make the ears. Then break two smaller balls to create the hippo’s snout.

Lay your hippos on a baking sheet, allowing the dough to rise for 20-30 minutes before baking them in the oven for 15 minutes—complete the hippos with black eyed peas and black beans for its eyes and nostrils before serving in a bowl of delicious soup.
